Airports
There’s always something about airports that gives me that eerie feeling every time I step inside. Maybe because you are overwhelmed by the different emotions around. Happiness. Eagerness. Excitement. Then there's also sadness. Loneliness. It's all there.
And so here I am again inside NAIA. But I'm not that excited traveler like the youngsters on backpacks we saw earlier. I'm here waiting for his flight out of this place. The next 6 months is going to be lonely but we will get through this.

Just give me my backpay
The past few weeks were filled with hustles and bustles. I was running around for errands. I was going back and forth the ex-company because I have documents to attend to. I had a graceful exit but I'm still experiencing the hassle of their system's inefficacy. All I want is to get my backpay. They promised I will have it one week after my last day but it is more than a month already and I'm still going back and forth. I have so many unused VL and a tax refund, so I am expecting something a bit big enough to make me start an online business maybe.

Learning foreign languages
I have always been interested in foreign languages. I think it started when we studied a priests life who taught himself five different language. Since then, I swore that I will teach myself a language or two.
In college, I took Japanese classes and I learned Hiragana Katakana. I learned how to read but not speak it. I gave up Japanese because I need more than just a Japanese subject for one semester to learn the language.
So I bought workbooks and self-studied Spanish because it's the closest to our language since our ancestors share Latin roots. I think I know basic Spanish but I stopped when I started working in the call center industry.
I have never really practiced what I've learned before but I became fluent in English. I now work as a part-time English tutor for Korean students. I like what I'm doing and maybe this time I have to learn Korean too.

Finally, goodbye
I'm going through a lot the past days. I feel like I'm in the middle of a storm on a small boat. It has been a wave of emotions: anxiety, skepticism, panic, and many many more. Sometimes I space out and ask myself if I can really overcome this.
But I'm also thankful for the things that come. Despite all the stress I'm experiencing, it's good to notice the beautiful things that are before me and the many other wonderful beginnings that are about to take place in my life. I will finally be out of the cubicle and start anew. Goodbye call center! Finally!

Finally, a blog
I'm a big follower of blogs. You might find this funny, but to tell you the truth, I once wanted to be a writer. But sadly, I failed to chase that dream. I lost it because I had to succumbed to the need to pay the bills. More than ten years in the call center industry and I have successfuly detached myself from writing.
Now, I struggle at every attempt to write. I read blogs that inspire me to write but every effort is met with difficulties. I cannot weave them into beautiful compositions. But I will try. I may not be able to do this everyday, but I will try. I will blog. I'll write even on a paper as ideas come. And maybe, hopefully maybe, one day a wonderful piece will be born.
